Sebhatu Gebremichael Kuflu - alternativt Sebehatu Mikaél Kuflu - är född i Eritrea den 12 juni 1937. Han flyttade från Etiopien till Sverige omkring 1986. Han har avlagt Ph.D i Business Management. Kuflu skriver på sitt modersmål tigrinja.
