M<\/strong><strong>ultilingualism and intercultural competence are however complex and contested concepts. You are still welcome to&nbsp;register your attendance <a href=\"https:\/\/skjemaker.app.uib.no\/view.php?id=12138750\">here&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>About the Seminar<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this seminar, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uib.no\/en\/persons\/Irina.Tiurikova\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Irina Tiurikova<\/a> will present the findings of her PhD study which falls under the&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uib.no\/en\/rg\/multilingual\/144318\/ungspr%C3%A5k-project-arqus-youtube-channel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ungspr\u00e5k project.<\/a> Her study, which focuses on teachers\u2019 views on the intersection of multilingualism and intercultural competence, finds the implementation of these concepts as highly dependent on the teachers who play the main role in implementing them.&nbsp;Tiurikova\u2019s presentation will address the following key questions: (1) How do foreign language teachers in Norwegian secondary schools conceptualise multilingualism and intercultural competence in relation to foreign language teaching?
